Conference Organizers

Conference 2026 is proud to have a variety of energetic organizers. Each brings to the event trail angeling or organizing talents to create an fun, engaging and valuable conference for attendees and website visitors in the future. You can be part of these energized team to move Trail Angeling to a dialog of best practices and shared experiences that benefits the Trail Thru Hiker experience.

Scott -Trail Angel Central founder and organizer is here to launch this first conference. Scott is both an avid hiker and has hiked larger sections of PCT, AT, TMB, and Camino. He also does trail angeling hosting at his cabin in the Sierras each summer for hundreds of PCT hikers going by this section of the PCT. He enjoys contributing to the thru hiking community and launching TAC seemed like an easy group to form to better create trail angel and hiker experiences.

Jen Brown is a thru hiking enthusiast with several long-distance, multi-month hikes under her belt. In 2021, she hiked from Canada to Mexico along the Continental Divide Trail, her first thru hike and the journey that ignited her love for the long trails. In 2022, she completed the John Muir Trail; in 2024, the Appalachian Trail; and in 2025, the Pacific Crest Trail, earning her Triple Crown of Hiking. She has blogged her AT and PCT thru hikes on TheTrek.co to an enthusiastic audience and loves “talking trail” with anyone that will listen. Originally from North Carolina, she is a true adventurer at heart and remains curious as to what treasures this amazing planet holds. When she’s not hiking she enjoys reading, learning languages, and finding ways to be creative.

Angie – I grew up hiking in the Columbia Gorge, skiing just off where the PCT meets Mt Hood, and camping on the coast in Oregon. I’ve lived on both coasts and have driven in every state in the US except AK. While having some health issues that make thru hiking not advisable, I love being out in nature. As well as being with others that do! I’m a huge advocate of people being themselves. I was raised as a Quaker which emphasizes less being more. It also is a faith that embraces stillness, allowing Spirit to move through a person particularly through meditation. I find this easiest for me to do in nature. My youth group was a motley crew and very much a life saver. I love to laugh and am 100% a goofball.
